What are Slōburn candles made from?
Our candles are made using a soy wax blend, lightly scented fragrance oils, and a 100% cotton wick for a clean, beautiful burn.
Are your candles strongly scented?
No, our candles are intentionally lightly scented. We designed them to create a soft, elevated atmosphere without overpowering your space.
What is a double-walled vessel?
Our unique double-walled glass design creates a floating candle effect, adding a more premium and sculptural look compared to traditional candle jars.
Where are your products manufactured?
Our products designed here in Sydney, Australia, and are manufactured overseas. We work very closely with our carefully select our manufacturing partner to ensure our candles are made to a high quality.
What type of wick do you use?
All Slōburn candles use a 100% cotton wick.
How long should I burn my candle for?
For the best experience, burn your candle long enough for the wax to melt evenly across the top surface during each use. We also recommend avoiding burns longer than 3–4 hours at a time.
How do I care for my candle?
To help your candle burn evenly:
- Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each burn
- For the best burn experience, keep your candle away from strong airflow such as fans, open windows, or air conditioning.
- Stop use when around 1cm of wax remains at the bottom
Can the vessel be reused?
Yes! Our vessels are designed to be reused long after the candle is finished. They work beautifully as coffee cups, for makeup brushes, jewellery, cotton pads, desk accessories, or home styling.
Do you ship Australia-wide?
Yes, we currently ship Australia-wide.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are dispatched within 1 business day. We use Australia Post, so shipping times will vary depending on your location.
What if my candle arrives damaged?
Please contact us as soon as possible with photos of the damage and we’ll organise a replacement or solution for you.
Why did you relaunch Slōburn?
Slōburn originally began as a creative outlet while we were working full-time jobs. Although we closed the business for a little while, we have always loved the product we created, so we decided it was time to give Slōburn another chance. ♡
